T.J. Cross Engineers has consistently provided superior quality engineering and design services to support the success of our clients. These quality services have resulted in strong, long-term alliance relationships with industry leaders and also earned us industry recognition.

Some selective highlights include:

  • T.J. Cross Engineers was selected by Chevron U.S.A. Production Company in 1999 to become their engineering alliance provider for the development and maintenance of their San Joaquin Valley surface production assets. Chevron has acknowledged TJCross's superior performance and contribution as a key Business Partner on a reoccurring basis. ChevronTexaco Corporation is currently the third largest oil company in the world (based on global oil reserves).
  • T.J. Cross Engineers was selected by Aera Energy LLC as the engineering partner for an aggressive multi-$100 MM grassroots Diatomite light oil and gas capital development project in California's Belridge Field in 1997-1998. Some of the development work was implemented under alliance gainshare risk/reward financial agreements between Aera, T.J. Cross Engineers, a materials procurement firm and two construction firms. The firms received "Best-in-Class" practice acknowledgements for the work that was implemented. An example of outstanding engineering practice was the proposal, specification, proving, and implementation of a new technology "wet" oil custody transfer metering system, which allowed Aera to save approximately $ 1 million in deferred dehydration facility costs. T.J. Cross continues to work as a strategic supplier to Aera, providing engineering, design, and consulting services for the Belridge/Lost Hills and Ventura Projects Teams. Aera Energy LLC is one of the two largest oil producers in the State of California.
  • T.J. Cross Engineers received a Certificate of Achievement for our 1995 engineering design of a low-cost H2S caustic produced gas scrubber system in the Wilmington field for Tidelands Oil in Long Beach, CA. The refinements engineered into this system saved the Oil Producer $750,000/year in operating costs. This project was later selected by the National Petroleum Technology Office "Best of the Pacific" contest as the winner in the "Best Field Improvement Project" category. Tidelands is one of two primary oil producers of the Wilmington Field in Southern California.
  • T.J. Cross Engineers was selected by Exxon Corporation as the engineering alliance contractor in 1991 to support the Exxon San Joaquin Valley and L.A. Basin production assets. The engineering alliance agreement was scheduled for a three-year term, but Exxon divested of most of their California assets prior to the completion of the third year. The two plus years of alliance partnering experience helped T.J. Cross staff members understand early-on the importance of alignment of client's goals and philosophies with our technical services and work practices. ExxonMobil Corporation is the world's largest oil company.
